I slept in yesterday. Felt extremely tired for some odd reason. Liz came over and we had lunch that I had made…noodles with choi. We later went to the IBM building to search for a friend of mine. I have pictures of the caf but I’ll upload them later. Had Tim Hortons. We ordered in French. “Je voudrais un grand café s’il vous plait”. Correct? Apparently it is croissant de fromage and not fromage croissant which we had originally said. There was a red carpet thing happening but we didn’t know who the ‘important people’ were. Went to the beer festival and it was packed! Left. Went to Super C to grocery shop (I need to eat better). Beer/liquor everywhere. Bought a chicken. Had rice at Elizabeth’s house. Played with her tenant’s cat. Got tired. Got lost. Got tired.
I apologize for the lousy posts you guys. My posts aren’t really meant for an audience. You are my friends who know me well and this is how I speak to you. Don’t really want to spend hours composing something…I’m not very good at compositions anyways. That’s my excuse and I am sticking to it!
I haven’t really been brushing up on my French. I’ve sort of been absorbing the city. I should start learning soon though. I’ve been using the books I had received heavily. I’ve started to look for apartment...and scanning through job ads…it looks to be harder than I had anticipated. But I am sure it is doable.
usually after the first week of travelling the jet lag and time zone difference starts to kick in and you get that tired feeling.
ReplyDeleteMake sure you get lots of fluids in your system! Money wise do you think you'll be okay until after the program? It'll be hard to find a job just for two weeks but it's good to see what's out there beforehand. I hope your laptop is in okay condition since it's like your portal for sharing with your friends/ME what you've been up to.
